According to Hindu mythology, Rudranath is one of the five parts of Lord Shiva’s body that appeared after he assumed the form of a bull to escape the Pandavas. The other four parts are enshrined in Kedarnath, Madhyamaheshwar, Tungnath, and Kalpeshwar.

Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit Rudranath Temple is during the summer months (April to October) when the weather is pleasant and the trek is relatively easy, however, the temple will be closed for 6 month in the year for extreme cold weather.

Drive from Rishikesh to Sagar Village (250 Km 8 hours)

Your journey start from Rishikesh to Sagar Village. Once you reach Sagar village overnight stay will be at home stay.

Day 02 :

Trek from Sagar village to Panar bugyal (10 Km 6 to 7 hours)

Day 03 :
Day 3

Panar Bugyal to Rudranath Tample (8 km 6 to 7 hours)

Day 04 :
Day 4

Trek from Rudranath Tample to Sagar Village (22 km 8 to 9 hours)
